Bursaries
Bursaries are offered on a case by case basis, with families being eligible to apply for the bursary if they, and their dependent students, meet the eligibility criteria.
- have sole or shared parental responsibility for a dependent student(s) in grades P-12, or be an independent student
- be financially responsible for the student(s)
- demonstrate low-income status through:
- a current means-tested Health Care Card or Centrelink card, which must list the student(s) as dependents (some payment codes only)
or - other forms of evidence proving low-income status or equivalent financial stress

The Melbourne Performing Arts Academy will award one term of lessons, free of charge based on musical merit. This scholarship will provide the student with one ½ hour lesson with a teacher of their choosing.
Compulsory attendance within one of our ensembles - band or choir is a requirement for this scholarship.
Children & families will also be asked to participate and volunteer at all events and performances and in certain circumstances be asked to mentor other students in their musical studies.
Bursary awards, a total of two per term, will be awarded one full term of music lessons based on the financial circumstances of each applicant in the last two weeks of term. These applications must be made in writing and submitted with supporting documents.
